Multi Core Cable (Stranded copper)

Application

For outdoor and indoor installations in damp and wet locations. power distribution and transmission line at rated voltage 600/1000V. Used outside as energy utility and lighting cables, in cable ducts, underground, under normal and salty water if specially made. XLPE cable (Cross-linked polyethylene) is a type of electrical cable commonly used for power transmission and distribution. XLPE cable is made of a thermoset material, which means it is highly resistant to heat, moisture, and chemicals.

Voltage rating

600/1000 V

Conductor

Number of conductors: 1

The conductor is stranded (class-2) and comply with the Requirements given in IEC 60228.

Maximum conductor temperature in normal use: 90 °C Short Circuit (at 5 sec Max.duration) – 250°C

Insulation

The insulation is XLPE (Cross-linked polyethylene) around the conductor

Assembly of cores

The cores are twisted together as either right-hand and left-hand direction. filler is applicable in case of to make cable as round shape (filler is suitable to meet the insulation property)

Inner covering

The inner covering is extruded or lapped The twisted cores are covered by an extruded inner covering consisting of suitable PVC Compound

Outer Sheathing

Outer sheath is polyvinyl chloride compound of PVC TYPE ST2 (90°C)
